Holiday Music
- Silent Night
- Deck The Halls
- Little Saint Nick
- Santa Baby
- Frosty The Snowman
Many songs, like Frosty The Snowman, create a mental picture of a delightful Christmas evening. The song Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire speaks of Jack Frost, dressing like Eskimos, children showing excitement in their eyes. The tune White Christmas has lyrics about sleigh bells in the snow and the days being merry and bright. What more do you need to get into the holiday spirit?
Some may whistle while they work, but I like to sing, or at least listen to Christmas music while I shop. I must admit, unless the kid is in tow, I prefer the classics sung by Johnny Mathis and Judy Garland. A couple of classic songs by those singers before, during and after shopping truly make it easier for me to cope with the holiday crowds when it comes time to buy gifts.
